Day 2 -
- Bible Story: The beginning : a perfect home
- Activity: Help Dada put up Christmas lights
Day 2 continues the tradition of decorating for Christmas. Henry had a sneak peak of this second day when he saw the lights in the ornament box and asked about putting them up. I said that it's not the day for it and luckily, the very next day is. Henry woke up in the morning ready to open his second day's advent activities and do his Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar build up. Today's, he build Count Dooku's Solar Sailer. We then waited till evening time to do read the next chapter in the Jesus Storybook Bible, "The beginning: a perfect home" and add another question to the Christmas FAQ, this time about what we celebrate on Christmas. Henry was excited to put up the candy lights. Even though Dada is very particular about the balance of the lights across the stairs, he was able to have Henry plug two strands together. Mama really enjoyed having Christmassy stuff on both sides of the stairs on the way up and down.
Day 3 -
- Bible Story: The terrible lie
- Activity: New App - The Birth of Jesus
On day 3, Henry go to build FA-4 a robot from the Star Wars universe who Henry thought was a droid. Today's activity was a cool app, "The Birth of Jesus." Henry got to play with it after school and loved doing every activity on it after going through the story. There were touch coloring pages (even one which required some simple math to figure out), coloring pages, multiple choice questions and a matching game.
