Advent Activities- Two Lo's and a Tan: Advent 2014! Day 3 & 4

Day 3 this year fell on Dotahoey Wednesday and Henry decided to read a Christmas story to Cousin Evan and Jensen while they were here. After much deliberation, Henry chose "That's not my reindeer ..." by Fiona Watt, which turned out to be quite the hit as both Evan and Jensen liked touching each of the pages. Henry agreed and said "I liked it because when I touched the book, it felt so soft."

Day 3's verse is Genesis 3:15 which Henry noted that "Once Adam and Eve sinned, the world wasn't perfect."

Day 4's activity became part 1 of Christmas cards preparation since the Christmas cards we ordered arrived earlier than expected. Henry and Mama did a fantastic job putting card in envelopes and affixes labels on them. Henry was able to put the labels on so much straighter and quicker than last year and had a fun time doing it on Mama and Dada's bed. Henry said "It was really fun because I liked putting in the cards."

Day 4's verse was Genesis 12:1-3,7 where Henry observed that "God will give Adam a land just for him."

Henry also got to open up his advent calendar from Auntie Annie and thoroughly enjoyed the delectable chocolate treats inside.
