Day 5 had verse from the Old Testament, Isaiah 7:14, as well as some from the New Testament, Matthew 1:23,both of which Henry saw that "When God says something will happen, it will happen."
On Day 6, after some morning soccer time, we joined the Honu fellowship group in a gingerbread cookie decorating activity. Henry got to roll dough, select and press cookie shapes and then decorate those shapes with icing and sprinkles. Aftewards, the kids had an impromptu mud party in the Quigley's backyard. It was hard to tell if Henry enjoyed the cookies more or the mud pies. But he did remember the cookie making later on when he said, "I liked the M&Ms in the gingerbread cookies."
Then we looked at Isaiah 9:6-7 and Matthew 1:18-25 and 4:16 which was a bit overwhelming for Henry to digest since he said "After Joseph named Jesus, he did lots of things." This summarized the journey that Joseph went through when he doubted Mary's faithfulness but took her as his wife anyways after an angel of the Lord spoke to him in a dream.
